This is a kitchen designed for a family that places cooking and socialising up high on their agenda. With many friends and visitors, local as well as from overseas, they needed a space fit to accommodate them.
The home has the stunning Hamptons features, with an open and contemporary feel. The kitchen was completely overhauled and customised for functionality and style.
Custom Cabinetry
The custom cabinetry created by Wood, Marble & White has an elegant, slightly traditional aesthetic.
Glass-front doors, paired with shaped panels, turn storage space into a display. This feature panelling is a standout, contrasting the white cabinetry beautifully with the black internals.
The stunningly lit kitchen island makes a bold focal statement. It’s a larger than average island adding additional functionality and plenty of storage.
The matt black knob and oversized pull handles, with the gorgeous wooden floors are a lovely contrast to the white cabinetry, tiles and benchtops.
The generous counter provides an ideal space for meal prep, casual dining, or socialising. The island has ample seating to comfortably accommodate friends and family.
It has clearly been designed for lovers of entertaining and cooking. After a sumptuous meal together, the remnants can easily be hidden from view, so the home owners can enjoy time with their guests.
Kitchen lighting and colour
A cosy touch to this space is thanks to the glowing globes of the accent lighting — warm and inviting despite the modern edge provided by the contemporary light fitting.
A Super White Dolomite benchtop and splashback contrast the two-pack paint. The subtle but beautiful cabinetry and benchtop allow the large range oven and bar stools to really pop.
Against the black and white colour palette, and together with the grain in the stone tiles, brushed brass and gold hardware add a sophisticated touch to bring the design together.
Kitchen appliances
The brushed gold ZIP Celsius All-in-One HydroTap is luxurious in both form and function, with the ability to produce boiling, chilled and sparkling water.
Other high-end appliances include a Gaggenau combi-microwave, oven with warming drawer and an integrated Liebherr fridge/freezer.
The kitchen is incredibly functional with the ever important work triangle fully embraced. Work space is in absolute abundance. The walk-in pantry is huge and has storage for days.
The updated kitchen is now an aesthetically appealing and family friendly space that opens up to the beautiful water outlook.
